Heather & Garrett
Heather and Garrett are clients-turned-dear friends as we’ve gotten to know each other over the past few years. Heather is just the sweetest and kindest soul I know, truly. She always makes you feel like the most special person in the room and brings light everywhere she goes. Garrett is her match made in heaven - he is always making people laugh and encouraging them to make the most of life, if not only by leading by example. It was finally their turn to get married on March 29, 2022, and it was my freaking pleasure to head down to Austin to capture their fun-filled wedding weekend!!
The festivities started off with a welcome dinner the night before the wedding - family and friends gathered in their gorgeous Hill Country Airbnb to eat pizza, drink wine, and get stoked for the wedding the next day!
Personally, I’m a huuuuge fan of welcome dinners and having your wedding photographer come out to document them - it’s a super fun and low-pressure way to get photos with all of your closest people before the hubbub of the wedding day!
Getting Ready
The wedding day kicked off with the bride and groom going sailing on Lake Travis with all of their best friends while her future sister-in-law arranged flowers back at the house. After getting a few portraits on the boat, we rocked out haaaaard to Hannah Montana while the girls got ready. After the 2nd cutest first look with her in-laws and best friends, Heather headed down to the ceremony spot for the 1st cutest first look with her groom. They did a private communion with their parents, and Garrett’s dad prayed over the couple. After some finishing touches and a FaceTime with her grandparents who couldn’t make it out, Heather was darn ready to get back down there and marry Garrett!!
The Ceremony
After a quick prayer circle and dance party to shake out the nerves with her girls, Heather walked down the aisle with her dad to the sound of Garrett’s brother playing acoustic guitar. She met Garrett and his mom who officiated the ceremony. What’s sweeter than that?
The Party
After eating some killer Mexican food and homemade macarons & cupcakes, we all danced the night away until the bride & groom’s romantic sparkler getaway. Heather & Garrett, it’s a joy just to know you, let alone be your friend. Happy nearly 1st anniversary, and here’s to a whole lot more!!!
